Anne Mroczkowski is a Canadian TV news anchor and reporter. She was born on July 16, 1953 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Born to a Polish-Slovak immigrant family, she grew up in Toronto. Anne joined Carlton University to pursue a degree in journalism. Unfortunately, one of her brothers died. It was a terrible blow to the family; she went into depression and eventually dropped out of University. Later she enrolled for the two-year program on radio and television arts at Niagara College. As luck would have it, she was struck with a rare throat infection and was barely able to complete the first semester. Taking a different approach and working hard, she graduated at the top of her class.
