Kimberly Guilfoyle

Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle is a well-known American cable news personality and one of the co-hosts of “The Five” which is broadcasted on the Fox News Channel. She rose to fame after serving as an occasional guest host and contributor for “On the Record with Brit Hume”. Currently, she makes regular appearances on Hannity and The O'Reilly Factor.

Background

Guilfoyle was born on March 9, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Mercedes is Puerto Rican and her father, Tony is of Irish descent. She grew up in the Mission District and Westlake. From what she recalls on numerous interviews, her childhood was rough due to the fact that she lost her mother to leukemia at the age of eleven.

Her father was born in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland, and came to the United States at the young age of 20. After serving 4 years in the US Army, he took up work in the construction trades, though later in life his intense interest in real estate and politics led him to become an investor and a close advisor to Mayor Newsom who became his son in law.

Life Before Broadcasting

Kimberly went to Mercy High School, a Catholic all-girls college-preparatory high school located in San Francisco, California. She then graduated magna cum laude in ‘94 from the University of California Davis and after that attended the University of San Francisco Law. Later, she also attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, where she studied and published research papers on international children's rights and European Economic Community law. What many people may not be aware of is that while trying to get through college, she worked as a lingerie model posing for local department stores including Macy's and Victoria's Secret bridal magazine.

Kimberly worked for a short time as a prosecutor in San Francisco, a job that she lost in 1996 after Terence Hallinan was elected District Attorney and decided to fire a number of the city’s prosecutors including Guilfoyle. Ironically enough, Hallinan hired Kimberly again in 2000 in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where she served as an Assistant District Attorney for 4 consecutive years.

Broadcasting Career

In January 2004, Kimberly moved to New York in order to host the program Both Sides on Court TV and work as a legal analyst on Anderson Cooper 360 as well. Since 2006, the name Kimberly Guilfoyle has been associated primarily with the Fox Network and the Fox News Channel. Starting as a host of the weekend show, The Lineup, she soon climbed up the ranks as a co-host of both The Five and Outnumbered, two of Fox's most popular programs.

All seems to be going smooth for Kimberly concerning her career. In fact, in 2015 she even released a semi-autobiographical book titled Making the Case: How to Be Your Own Best Advocate. “Learning how to state your case effectively is not just important for lawyers—it’s something everybody should know how to do, no matter what stage of life they are in. From landing her dream job right out of school, switching careers seamlessly midstream, and managing personal finances for greater growth and stability to divorcing amicably and teaching her young child to advocate for himself, Guilfoyle has been there and done it.”, is the passage on the back cover of the book.

Personal Life

As for her personal life, the famous co-host of The O’Reilly Factor has been married and divorced two times. First, during the time that she was working as a prosecutor, she happened to meet a handsome city supervisor from San Francisco named Gavin Newson. Sparks flew instantly between the two love birds. They met over dinner and eventually, ended up in a relationship.

They loved the company of one another so much that they quickly wanted to tie the knot. Thus, their marriage was started in a high-profile wedding on December 8, 2001. They were madly in love and loved doing things together. They watched movies, read newspapers on Sundays and enjoyed life in each other’s arms. They were not regular party hoppers, but spent time together.

It was during this time that she received the unofficial title the "First Lady of San Francisco" once Newson became mayor of the city. The title stuck with her during Newson’s first years as a mayor.

Everything looked fine until they announced that they were ending their relationship. Everybody was taken aback. Their relationship didn’t stand the test of time as they had to live far away from each other due to different careers. Long distance relationships often work but theirs did not. They got separated amicably without any resentment towards each other on February 28, 2006.

Just three months later after the separation from her husband, Kimberly hooked up with Eric Villency, who was younger than her. He was in a relationship with a model named Olivia Chantecaille before he met Kimberly, but later he ended his romance with Olivia as Kimberly was in the picture and he even wooed her with a 5-carat diamond engagement ring.

Kimberly was labelled a homewrecker because she snatched Eric right from under Olivia’s nose. People assumed it would work this time for Kimberly, because they were both socialites. They had an affair and tied the knot on May 27, 2006. The already pregnant Kimberly, later gave birth to a baby boy and named him Ronan Anthony Villency.

They looked like the perfect couple until one day it was revealed that their relationship of 3 years was coming to an end. Eric stated that Kimberley was a very negative and unhappy woman and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. Both her relationships failed and ended in divorce. She was said to have purchased a very posh apartment soon after her breakup. She is now living with her son in New York. The details of her current boyfriend are not known and her dating life has been kept under wraps. She doesn’t want the media to get in the way of her personal life anymore.
