Stacy Lewis

Stacy Lewis is a star and a professional golfer in the lpga Tour.  She is blue eyed, blonde and she looks like a girl next door but she is not an ordinary golfer. She was not only been able to get achievement in her amateur and collegiate career but she did this while overcoming negative side effect that were caused by scoliosis.

When she was 11 years old, while undergoing a screen exam, they found out that her back was asymmetry when she bent down. When she visited a pediatric spine deformity specialist, she did the x-rays that confirmed that she was suffering scoliosis. This is an excessive rotational deformity of a spine. For more than 7 years, she had to wear a back brace for more than 18 hours each day.  She had it on even when she was playing and she had to put it off while playing golf.  She knew that when she did stop growing, she will be able to take off the brace and she did this when she turned 18 years. However, when she got off the brace, the deformity continued until it progressed at the point on which the surgery had been recommended in order to prevent any problem that may be caused by her condition. This was a bad news for her because in only one month, she had got a scholarship at the University of Arkansas.  She did not know that after the surgery she is going to be able to play again at the level she was on already.

Stacy Lewis had won a major LPGA tour while taking down the number one player and she won four tournaments of 2012 to become the first American player to be able to win the game since 1994. She is now closing on to rank first in the world.

She was the best player in the amateur level for 2 years before she turned a professional. She was the NCAA champion in 2007 and she won 12 tournaments at the collegiate level which put the University of Arkansas at the map in the women’s golf.

Even if she has made her name with different achievements, she is not known for them but because of the challenges that she had to overcome in order to achieve them.

When it comes to her private life, Stacy Lewis is secretive and it is not clear if she is married or if she is in any kind of relationship.  She kept all her private life out of the media and people do not know if she even had a boyfriend or if she is a gay.
