Kathy Orr

Kathy Orr is a well-known meteorologist who works for Fox 29 Weather Authority team.

Personal life

Kathy was born in 1965 in New York. She is an American by birth and spent her childhood in Geddes, New York. There is no other information about her childhood that is available to the media. She had her college education in University of New York in Meteorology and did bachelors in journalism and marketing from Syracuse University.

Her first known boyfriend is Peter. His second name is not known. They dated for a while and then decided to get married. They have two children together and live in South Jersey. Career

Kathy is a reporter who was awarded Emmy Awards consecutively for four years. She now works for Fox 29 Weather Authority team. She came to Philadelphia in 1998 as one of the first female meteorologists in the city. In 1999, she got her first Emmy and earned top honors from Philadelphia broadcast association. She was introduced in their hall of fame in 2013. She also worked as a mentor for American Meteorological Society for ten years. She has been an inspiration for many in her field. In 2003, she joined CBS3 after quitting from NBC10. She was a weekend weathercaster at NBC10 for a long time.

She worked in CBS3 for many years and reached the position of Chief meteorologist. In 2015, she was replaced by a colleague. The reason for the dismissal is that the base of audience was not growing for CBS3 and they wanted to make some format changes. After a night newscast, Kathy with two other people were informed that they were dismissed without any prior information.

For a long period of time, she was left without a job and then picked up Fox 29. She had received many awards for her work which includes New York Governor Award of 1998 and eight Mid-Atlantic Emmy for the Best Weathercaster.
