Justin Willman Chambers is an American model turned actor who has been active since 1995. He is well known for his role as Dr. Alex Karev in the celebrated medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. Chambers was born on July 11th, 1970, he was born and raised in Springfield. The Chambers had five children, three boys John Jr. and twins Justin and Jason and two girls, Susan and Mia Chambers.
As a child, Justin suffered from pneumonia and thereby visited the hospital frequently. Selling orthopedic shoes and flipping burgers were jobs he did as a teenager. He graduated from Southeastern High School, Charleston.
During the early 1990’s he shifted to New York, for the next four years he learned at the H.B Studios and Ron Stetson Studios. When Justin was vacationing in Paris, he was discovered by a modeling agent and thus, he became a model for the big names in the fashion world, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. He got an opportunity to travel to many countries such as Japan, Europe, throughout the course of his modeling career. Justin married Keisha Chambers in 1993; the couple has five children.
Career
The lessons in H.B studio landed Justin many stage performances and small roles in television roles. His first major role was as Nicholas Hudson in the 1995 series Another World, in the same year he played the role of Officer Nick Caso in New York Undercover. In 1999, he became a regular in the CBS series Four Corners. He starred alongside Jennifer Garner in Rose Hill.
From 1998 to 2004, he has acted on various television series namely Seasons of Love, Hysterical Blindness, Cold Case and as Charles Brody in The Secret Service. Justin’s film debut was Liberty Heights in 1999, directed by Barry Levinson, in this he played the role of a rich boy named Trey Tobelseted. He then featured as D’Artagnan opposite Catherine Deneuve and Mena Suvari in the 2001 action drama The Musketeer. His next co-stars in 2001 were the Academy Award-winning Mathew McConaughey and the celebrated actress and singer Jennifer Lopez.
After the success of ‘The Wedding Planner’, his career slope experience a slow rise, in 2002 and 2003 he did one movie, Leo in which he played as Ryan Eames and a short film For Which It stands as a German Soldier. Other movies Justin Chamber’s has starred in are Southern Belles, The Zodiac, Lake View Terrace, The Happiest Man Alive, Broken City and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
