According to her biography, Anna Silk took birth in the city of Fredericton, situated in the province of New Brunswick, on the date 31st January 1974. Her father, Peter Silk, works in the sector of academia while her mother, Ilkay Silk, is a respectable actress as well as a writer, a director, a producer and the Director of Drama at the St. Thomas University. She is part British from her father’s side and part Turkish from her mother’s side and she has one sister, Mandy, who is a musician.
Silk has always been inspired by her mother to work in the acting business and she completed her studies in the year 1997, from the St. Thomas University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the subject of psychology. Anna had a 2-year-old affair with the actor and writer, Seth Cooperman, after they met each other in the year 2007, at an acting workshop in Los Angeles.
The couple got married in the year 2009 and is living happily together, since then. They are blessed with 2 sons, Samuel Jerome Cooperman (3 years old) and Levi Aaron Cooperman (9 months old). Anna Silk always wanted to pursue a career in acting as most of her childhood was spent watching her mother work through rehearsals and stage plays. She did commercials, while she was growing up, for companies like NicoDerm.
She initiated her career in the world of television in the year 1999, when she played the character, Sabrina, in the series- “Daring, and Grace: Teen Detectives” and she made her first big screen appearance in the movie- “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, in the year 2002. The actress was cast in the year 2009, to play Cassidy Holland in the dramatic television series whose name was “Being Erica” and because of that, she earned the nomination for the Gemini Awards (2009), in the category of Best Performance by an actress.
Her most groundbreaking career success hit when she was cast to play the role of Bo Dennis in the popular Canadian supernatural television series “Lost Girl”. On the show, Anna portrays a bisexual role and has supernatural powers.
