Born in the year 1974 on 25th August, to father Lloyd Millegan and mother Karen Millegan, in Hackettstown situated in New Jersey in the United States of America, Eric Millegan spent most of his childhood days growing up in Springfield situated in Oregon in the United States of America. He has five siblings, three brothers named Jeffrey Millegan, Patrick Millegan and Brantly Millegan, and two sisters named Colleen Millegan and Lisa Millegan.

He completed his education from the Springfield High School situated in Springfield in Oregon, United States of America. He was very active in sveral extra-curricular activities like singing and was also elected as the Vice President of the Student Council of his school. He began his television career in the year 2001 when he was chosen for the role of Michael Truskie for the Episode named Love Stories of the television show 100 Centre Street. He was then seen in the Episode named The Insider of the television show Law & Order: Criminal Intent where he played the role of Eddie Dutton in the year 2002. In the year 2004, he was seen in the Episode titled Opening Night in the television show Curb Your Enthusiasm where he played the role of a delivery boy. In the folllowing year, he got the role for which he is most famous for. He was chosen to portray the role of Dr. Zack Addy in the television show Bones in the year 2005.
