Aida Turturro

Aida Turturro is an actress who is famous for her role as Janice Soprano of The Sopranos that ran between 1999 and 2007.

Personal life

Aida was born in New York to Dorothi and DomenickTurturro. Her mother is a Sicilian and her father is an Italian American. Her mother was a homemaker and her father is an artist. Her cousins John, Natalie and Nicholas Turturro are actors too.

Aida was born in 1962 and currently is almost 60. Aida has been approached by many men for proposals and dates but, she was never interested in dating and still remains single. Thus, for all these years in limelight, she never went on a date nor was in a romantic relationship. It is not that she kept her romantic life, a secret. She left out the romantic life from her biography. This caused a lot of rumors about Aida being a lesbian. Aida has not commented on the rumors yet. She was never seen with any woman who can be rumored to be her better half. Nor was she involved in any act that would raise the doubt of being gay. Thus, the lesbian news is considered to be a well-cooked rumor.

When asked about her future in the romantic side of life, she mentioned that she love to have a family, a large house with a guest room, dog and a backyard. She is said to be suffering from diabetes and RA. She helps to create awareness about both the illness. Aida was just 12 when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. She said that she was in a beach and tried to walk down to the water. She felt that the stones in the beach were piercing her. She cried out to her father and he took her to home and she couldn’t get up the next day. They took her to a doctor who shared the fateful news. She had made sure that her illnesses are not hurdling her career. It is not known whether she is postponing her romantic relationships because of her medical conditions.

According to a recent interview, she agreed that she is not currently in any serious relationship. Aida was never married or engaged before. She has not mothered a child and was never a part of any extra marital affair or rumor. None has ever come up to talk about her personal romantic life to media. Aida made her debut in films in 1989. She acted in a lot of movies like Deep Blue Sea, Sleepers, Jersey Girl and others. Her first notable movie was in 1991, What About Bob? Her latest movie was in 2014, Rob the Mob. In 1999, she took up TV career as Janice in The Sopranos. She appeared in 49 episodes and earned two nominations for Emmy Award for supporting performance in 2007 and 2001. In 2009, she appeared in one episode of Medium. She also made guest appearances in Curb Your Enthusiasm, Nurse Jackie, Blue Bloods and many others. She has an estimated net worth of five million dollars.
