Shannon Sharpe

Shannon Sharpe is the retired player of American football.  During his career,   he became famous while playing at Denver Broncos and then Baltimore Ravens of a National Football League with tight end position.  


He is the TV presenter who worked like analyst for the CBS sports at NFL telecasts.    He is now the co-host of the Skin and Shannon: Undisputed together Skip Bayless.  He is known for the creative commentary with the occasional trash-talking.

He was three-time Super Bowl winner and he was inducted in Pro Football Hall of Fame.  He got first tight end in order to amass 10,000 in the receiving yards with the time that ended the career. He was among the top at NFL in the receptions with receiving yard or receiving touchdowns.

From his biography, Shannon Sharpe was born in the year 1968, in the city of Chicago in Illinois, USA. His mother is called Mary Alice Dixon and the father is called Pete Sharpe. He is a younger brother to the former NFL star that played as a wide receiver, Sterling Sharpe.  Even if Sharpe was born in the city of Chicago, he got raised in the city of Glennville, in Georgia. The family had no enough money and he says that their family was in desperate situations.

For his education, he went to Savannah State College and it was called Savannah State University and he got a degree of Criminal Justice. When he was in school, he was playing in different sports such as basketball, football and tracks.  He did focus more on football so that he may lead his team to its best record. The performance he got made him the All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team   and it was for 3 different years. He got named Player of the Year of Conference in 1987.  In the year 1989, he got chosen to be Kodak Division II All American and then got inducted in Division II Football Hall of Fame after 10 years.

Sharpe was chosen to join Denver Broncos and it was at Savannah State at the Event round and it was 192nd pick for 1990 NFL Draft. He did not play well the first year as the wide receiver and he asked the coach that he would play at the tight end. He got a breakout year and it came as a third season and he became 53 catches of 640 yards. This is the year that he got the Pro Bowl and he got named the First-team All Pro.

When it comes to his net worth, he has 8 million dollars. He got the money from the time he was a player and got a salary of over 900,000 dollars. He had a number of the endorsement deals and it included gracing the cover of the FitnessRX of Men Magazine.  

For his personal life, Shannon Sharpe is not yet married, but has been in relationship with his fiancée Katy Kellner for long. They have 3 children. He had been in a controversy, when her then girlfriend Michelle Bundy filed a restraining order saying that he sexually abused her and threatened her. However, the case was dismissed because of lack of evidence.
