Debbi Morgan

Debbi Morgan is a television and film actress. She is an African American. She is well known because of the role she had in All My Children soap opera at ABC. She won Emmy Award in the category of outstanding supporting actress in drama series. She also played in Charmed.


From her biography, Debbi Morgan was born in 1956. It was in Dunn city in Harnett County in North Carolina. At birth, she was named Ann Morgan. Her mother is Lora and her father is George Morgan Jr. Her mother worked as a teacher while the father worked in butchery. She was born with a younger sister.

Her father died when she was 8 years because of leukemia and she got raised by the mother alone. The family moved to live in New York and she went to a parochial school. The earliest role she undertook was playing in Mandigo movie and it got released in the year 1975. She became interested in acting from the time she was too young. She appeared in A Midsummer Night’s Dream musical at the age of 15.

From the first role she had in Mandigo, she had been able to enjoy a successful career. She had been able to act in over 50 television series and movies. She was been nominated for the Daytime Emmy Awards for 5 times but she won only once. She did appear in other movies like Color of the Cross, Back in the Day, Coach Carter, and The Runaway and in Asunder. The TV shows she appeared in are Touching Evil, Soul Food, For the People, The Bold and The Beautiful and Power. Throughout her career, she had been able to get 10 wins with 13 nominations. In her 30 years of acting, she was able to win Image Awards, Gracie Allen Award and Golden Derby TV award.

In the year 2003, Debbi Morgan was playing a lead role as Lora Gibson in For People and she was playing with Lea Thompson. She was playing Seer role in Charmed. While playing in The Young in Restless, she was Yolanda Harmony Hamilton. She played as the mother of Toni Braxton in Toni Braxton: Unbreak my Heart biopic on Lifetime.

When it comes to her personal life, Debbi Morgan got married four times. Her first husband was Les Weldon; they married in 1980 until 1984. Afterwards, she married Charles S Dutton since 1989 until 1994. She then got married to Donn Thompson since 1997 until 2000. She is now married to a telecommunication engineer named Jeffrey Winston. Even if she has gone through divorce 3 times, she did not get any children from these marriages. She is the author of the book called The Monkey On My Back: A Memoir. She talks about the women in her family for three generations. She has a net worth of 12.5 million dollars.
