Orianthi Panagaris was born in the year 1985 and she is known just at Orianthi. From her biography, Orianthi was born in the city of Adelaide in the South Australia and she has Greek Descents. She started to play piano when she was still three years and she was encouraged by her father to start playing acoustic guitar when she was six years. At the time she turned eleven; she started to play electric guitar and left her then school Mercedes College to enroll in Cabra Dominican College.

She also went to St Peter’s Collegiate Girls’ School for some time. When she was 15, she started to focus more on writing her songs and started the music career officially. She started to play in a band when she was only 14 years old and she performed the first stage show under Steve Vai when she was 15 years old. Orianthi jammed with Carlos Santana after meeting him at the age of 18 years old. He was the one to invite her to stand up so that they can jam together on the sound check and then asked her to join him at the stage when they were in Adelaide Concert at Memorial Drive in 2003.

Orianthi was able to release a debut studio album independently and it was named Violet Journey in the year 2005. She was the one to compose the material, contributing to the drums, vocals and guitar in most of its cuts. She mixed and produced the final songs at a home studio. Orianthi got attention of Paul Reed Smith after being brought out by Carlos Santana and this helped her to get endorsement. In 2006, she relocated to live in Los Angeles and signed under Geffen Records and got a management deal with 19 Entertainment.

Orianthi had her breakthrough when she performed like a lead guitarist of Carrie Underwood for 51st Annual Grammy Awards of 2009. From this performance with the recommendation in the industry, she was reached out by the management of Michael Jackson to perform for his This Is Concert and she was rehearsing with him until his death.
