David Samadi is a chairman of Urology and a chief for Robotic Surgery at the Lenox Hill Hospital. He works like a board-certified urologist and he specializes in treatment and diagnosis of the urologic diseases, bladder cancer, kidney cancer and prostate cancer while at the same time he specializes in the minimal invasive treatment of prostate cancer known as laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and the laparoscopic robotic radical prostatectomy.

According to his biography, David Samadi was born to Persian Jewish in Iran community and when he was 15 years old, together with his brother they left in 1979 because of Iranian revolution. They did their studies in London and Belgium before they go to live in United States and this is where he finished his high School in the Roslyn city in New York. After finishing his high school, he attended Stony Brook University and he earned the degree in the biochemistry at a full scholarship.
He got an M.D at S.U.N.Y, Stony Brook School of Medicine in 1994. He finished the postgraduate training in the urology with Montefiore Medical Center and he did proctology with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the year 1996 and then he attended proctology at the memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the year 2001. He did robotic radical prostate cancer center in the year 2001 and then did the fellowship with Henri Mondor Hospital under Professor Claude Abbou mentorship in France.
David Samadi practiced for the first time at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and then joined faculty of Mt Sinai School of Medicine in the year 2007 and he became the vice chair for Department of Urology and then Chief of Robotic and Minimally invasive surgery.
In the year 2012, he became highest paid doctor in the New York City when he was earning 7.6 million. Afterwards, he moved with his team to go to Lenox Hill Hospital since he was made a chair of Urology there and then a Chief of Robotic surgery. He became the appointed professor For Urology for Hofstra North Shore-LIJ school of Medicine. David Samadi is the member of American Medical Association and of American Urological Association. He is included at the list of America’s Top Doctors of Castle Connolly and at the Best Doctor List of New York Magazine.
David Samadi works at fox news where he is a host for Sunday Housecall together with Marc Siegel. In 2015, he started a radio program on am970 of New York City and it is named World Health News and has a blog where he talks about the latest health news.
David Samadi got married to Sahar Danielpour. His wife is also a descent of Iranian Jewish. David Samadi is a practicing Jew and they live together in Old Westbury in New York.
