Greg Kelly who is also known as Gregory Raymond Greg Kelly was born on 17 December 1968 in Garden City, New York. His father’s name is Raymond W Kelly and he used to work with New York Police Department. Greg’s father’s last designation was New York City Police Commissioner. He was the longest service commissioner is the history of New York Police Department. Greg’s mother’s name is Veronica. His parents met each other for the first time in New York itself. Greg is reported to have one sibling whose name is James. He had been unmarried throughout his life and he had never gone public about any of his girlfriends.


To complete his education, Greg went to Fordham University where he received his graduation degree. He did his major in Political Science. In his university days, Greg worked for a FM station in New York City. As mentioned above, Greg is also a part of US Marine and his active duty years were between 1991 and 2000. As of now Greg is in US Marine Reserves. Greg played a major role in Operation Southern Watch in Iraq. During his active years in US Marine, Greg is reported to have landed 158 aircrafts on the aircraft carrier. It clearly indicates the Greg worked really hard and he was very passionate about what he did.

Greg began his journey in journalism through WIVT –TV. While working with WIVT – TV he got a chance to interview the former President Billl Clinton. In 2001 Greg covered two major event, one of them was Mayoral Campaign of 2001 and the other one was an event that shook the world, yes he covered 9/11 terrorist attack.

In 2003, Greg provided reports on Operation Iraqi Freedom but he had been quite unlucky that year. A mortar exploded near his face, causing him an injury. He was also shown riding a tank in Iraq by Fox news and Greg was the man who provided the video footages when the Saddam Hussein’s palace was destroyed. Greg also worked in Gaza, Kuwait and Pakistan. Later in 2008, Greg started to host a show on Fox 5. He hosted ‘Good Day New York’ for 4 years later returning back in 2013.

In early 2011, Greg was accused of raping a law firm employee. The case was investigated by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance as the New York Police department refused to take the investigation forward to avoid conflict of interest. Lack of physical evidence in the case caused the case to drop and Greg was declared innocent. He joined the office back on the 13 February 2012 which also happened to be a Good Friday. There were no executions in the case because of lack of evidence.
