Early Life and Beginning of Career
Troy Aikman was born in West Covina in California on November 21, 1966. He spent his early childhood in Cerritos. He was born with clubfoot at a mild stage, and it was corrected by surgeries at an early age. As he grew to be a teenager, he relocated to Henryetta in Oklahoma with his family. This is where his footballing career flourished.
In his college, when he was a student of the University of Oklahoma, he played with the Oklahoma Sooners. He did not have a very lucrative career with the team, but after recouping their game, the team finally had a National Championship victory in 1985. Later he transferred to UCLA and became the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year. He was a part of the UCLA Bruins team when they beat the Florida Gators in 1987 at the Aloha Bowl.
In 1988, Aikman won the Davey O’Brien Award. He was also adjudged the Coaches’ Choice Player of the Year award. He worked with his team to several victories throughout his football career, such as at the Cotton Bowl Classic in 1989.
Professional Football Career
Aikman made the first cut at number 1 position in the NFL Draft of 1989 and was brought into Dallas Cowboys. He played as a quarterback. His first match as a Cowboy was against New Orleans Saints which was a miserable defeat. But in 1991, he brought his team to a victory against the Chicago Bears. Since then, he hit several records for touchdown passes, passing yards, and completions. He has a completion percentage of 61.5%, which is the fourth best completion percentages in American football of all time.
Subsequently, he brought his team to victories against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and Arizona Cardinals. He retired in 2013 due to a back injury.

Troy Aikman was once the boyfriend of Lorrie Morgan, a country singer. There were also reports that he once dated Janine Turner and Sandra Bullock. He was married to Rhonda Worthey in 2000. They have two children together, while Rhonda Worthey also has a daughter from a previous marriage. However, this couple got separated in 2011 and finally got a divorce in the same year.
He briefly featured in the Tom Cruise movie Jerry Maguire. He has also once voiced The Simpsons. He endorses Rent-A-Center with Hulk Hogan and Disney World. His net worth is believed to be approximately $25 million.
