A beautiful woman, actress and model Shanna Lynn Moakler was born on March 28, 1975 in Providence, Rhode Island. Her parents were: father - John W. Moakler III, mother - Gail Moakler. Shanna also have three siblings: brothers Kirk and John W. IV and a sister.

She grew up in Providence and attended Barrington High School. At school, she used to be a reckless girl and tomboy. She liked roller skating and has been a roller skater for 12 years. She participated in roller skating competitions and showed great results. She was one of the leaders at school, she always dressed better that other students and she always had the best boyfriends. In her graduation year, she dated with a captain of a local football team and tried herself in modeling business.
Since Shanna Moakler was 15 years old, she had occasional modeling contracts, and in 17, she already represented her native state Rhode Island in the Miss Teen USA pageant. She did not win it, however she got a great scores. The next year, she participated in Miss Teen All American and won it in 1993.
The experience of her previous participations came in handy to her in 1995, when she became a Miss New York USA. Her next competition was in South Padre Island, Texas. She almost won the title of Miss Texas USA since she finished second. Her career as a model has been developing at a great speed and the same year she took a part in a pageant for the title Miss USA. After such fast boost, she eventually became Miss USA in 1995.
Since that time, her life turned into a constant rush. According to her contract, she had to take a part in different activities and tournaments, constantly traveling and sign autographs. Despite of such exhausting work, she liked to be famous.
In 2001, Playboy named her Playmate of the Month (December issue), and according to the contract, she had to pose nude. As she told in her interviews after the photo session, that to pose nude was quite scary.
Apart from her career as a model, Shanna played in TV series and films, including Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Timecop, Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, The Wedding Singer, Seeing Other People, Big Momma's House 2, I Love the New Millennium, Pacific Blue and others.
