Natalie Maines was born in the year 1974 and she is American singer and a songwriter and also activist who has been able to achieve the success as the lead vocalist for the female alternative country band for Dixie Chicks. She was born in Texas in the city of Lubbock and she says that she is a rebel who did not want to think as the majority of other people were thinking. When she left Berkle College of Music, she was recruited to join Dixie Chicks so that she can replace the lead singer Laura Lynch who had left. When Maines was their lead vocalist, they were able to get 10 Country Music Association Awards and they got 13 Grammy Awards for the work they had since 1998 until 2007. In 2006, the group released the album Taking The Long Way and it is the album that won five Grammy Awards and it was nominated as the Album of The Year.

Natalie Maines was born to Lloyd Maines who was a producer and a country musician and to Tina May Maines. She went to Williams Elementary School of Lubbock and she was in the second grade when she told her teacher that she does not want to learn what she was teaching since she will be a star. While in O L Slaton Junior High School, she was a cheerleader and she graduated from Lubbock High School and she was in the choir of the school. She grew up in a conservative place of Texas and she always wanted to rebel.
After high school, she attended many colleges and spent two semesters in West Texas A&M where she was studying radio and afterwards, she did South Plains College. Some of the instructors of South Plains, said that she liked to be in blues, Rhythm and rock and roll.
Natalie Maines’s boyfriend was Michael Tarabay and they met at South Plains College and they got married in 1997. After only two years in marriage, they did file for a divorce and they said that it was because of the irreconcilable differences. She met Adrian Pasdar in 1999 and they got married in 2000. They have got two sons together and she is referred to as Natalie Pasdar sometime. The family lives in New York, Texas and California where they have homes.
Natalie Maines had been in many controversies. She has been in many philanthropic works and she participated into the awareness and fundraising events. They do include the legendary Bingo which is participated by US Bingo game and it is hosted by Drag queens and it is hosted weekly in the city of Los Angeles.
