Damian Marley was born on 21st July 1978. He is a Jamaican artist. He is the youngest child of the legend Bob Marley. His father died when he was just 2 years old. His mother, Cindy Breakspeare was Miss World in 1976. His father’s nickname was Tuff Gong which led to his nickname as Junior Gong. He formed his musical group at an early age of 13 years. The formation of Superheavy happened in the year 2011. The group recorded continuously for 35 hours for entire album. The album was released on YouTube in the month of August in the same year. In the year 2012, he worked with Skrillex who is an electronic artist. They worked together on the song “Make it Bun Dem”. He described his musical style as Reggae and Dancehall.
He is a Rastafarian. His music reflects his beliefs and Rastafari principles. He has a son named as Elijah who was born on August 19th 2009. He is on tour for most of his time in a year. He has homes in Kingston, Jamaica and Florida. He has an estimated net worth of $20 million. His mother married Tom Finson when he was 3 years old.
