Craig Kilborn

Craig Kilborn is an American personality who serves as a host as well as a commentator.


Personal life

 Craig Kilborn was born in the year 1962 on August 24th. He was born in the United States in the state Missouri state, in Kansas. His parents were Shirley and Hiram Kilborn. He was the only child of his parents and had no siblings. When Kilborn was only 4 years old, he shifted with his parents to Minnesota, in Hastings.

He was always interested in sports and his height of 6ft 5, at a very early age quenched his thirst. Though in the beginning years of his elementary schools he was not allowed due to his abnormal growth in comparison to the other children of his age, later, when he was in the ninth standard, he was asked to play basketball by the coach of the All-Star Basketball team.

Due to his height which is generally required in basketball, Kilborn paved the path for becoming a basketball player. He won some inter-school basketball matches, before appearing in the national level tournaments. It was due to the cooperation and managerial skills of Kilborn that the team was able to win the match at the national level.

After the success, he participated in several basketball matches which fetched him immense success. He achieved several trophies and letters and also a scholarship to study in the Montana State University. He pursued with theatre arts and media in the Montana University and graduated in the year 1984. Kilborn does not like to remain under the lime light all the time and thus, he has kept his personal life away from the glare of the media. He has not revealed any kind of personal information regarding his wife or children. Nothing could be known from his social networking accounts on Instagram and Twitter.

Career

Craig Kilborn started his career with Monterey County as an anchor of sports news in California. He also worked with CBA as a radio commentator in the year 1987. For a few years, he was involved in many part time jobs till, in the year 1993, he was offered the position of sports anchor in the ESPN Sports Center. Later, he hosted the show with Dan Patrick on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the ESPN channel. He also hosted Sports Night on the ABC channel.

Later, he was appointed by the Daily Central as the host. Kilborn was awarded with the CableACE award for his performance as a host. Kilborn’s interview with the Esquire raised many rumours regarding his treatment with Lizz Winstead.

However, he managed the situation and apologised at the end of the interview. He also replaced Tom Synder in The Late Late Show as a host in the year 1998 when he was offered by CBS. The show gained much popularity due to his chosen segments such as the 5 Questions and the Yambo. Unfortunately, he left the show after some years due to the lack of characterisation in the show.

In the year 2010, he promoted his own show ‘The Kilborn File’. He repeated some of his previous segments in this show along with some comedy shows. Later, he was also offered the role of Mark in the popular movie ‘The Old School’. He also appeared in several movies in the next consecutive years. He has a handsome net worth, which can be counted in millions.
