Allison chinchar was born and bought up in Ohio, Columbus ,United States of America. She did her graduation in B.S in Atmospheric Science , Ohio State University. She has a lesser or smaller amount of knowledge in American Sign Language. She started her career as a metrologist in 2006 with Buckeye tv , where she produced and anchored weather condition. In 2007 she joined WCMH tv. She worked their for few months as daily forecast reporter. She also worked with WTVC-TV NewsChannel9 from 2008 to 2010. She create , produced and anchored the daily forecast show. After that she worked with WKRN in Tennessee in 2011. She also worked with WXIA tv Atlanta from 2012 to 2015 as a metrologist . She worked their for 3 years. Presently she is working with CNN.

She is actively involved with ASPCA(American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)NWS(national weather services), and AMS(American metrological society).During his career she was also part of 11 Alive’s weather team, which is known as storm tracker.As a metrologist , she has covered various critical weather conditions . Some of them are April 24, 2010's tornado outbreak which is very difficult whether condition, including Hurricane Isaac, and devastating Ef2 tornado crossing the Chickamuga dam.She enjoy while doing forecast about weather. She is always dedicated towards her work. She often takes risk while doing her job . She covered difficult weather condition like storm, tornado.

Allison chinchar is married to Mike bettes. They both met at weather conference.Their wedding took place in Atlanta in 2012. Her husband is also famous metrologist . He is currently working with the weather channel .In 2013 while chasing the tornado ( El, Reno) in Oklahoma, Mike got injured. This incidence make them emotional .

She always took interest in running Marathons, kayking, she also participated in DEAF chat in Chattanooga. She enjoy spending time with her family and friends.
