According to her biography, Alexis Bledel took birth in the city of Houston, situated in the state of Texas, on the date 16th September 1981, with the name Kimberly Alexis Bledel given to her. Her father, Martin Bledel, belonged to Argentina whereas her mother, Nanette Bledel, was raised in Mexico and she worked as a flight attendant. Both of her parents are belonging to the Hispanic background and she was brought up in a Spanish cultured family alongside her younger brother, Eric Bledel.
The actress belongs to a French, Welsh, Danish, Scottish, English and Irish descent as her grandparents had their origins from these places. She only spoke Spanish before she went to school. She completed her schooling at the Catholic school, named St. Agnes Academy. Alexis finished her graduation from the Page Parkes Center of modeling and acting and after that, she did a film major for one year at the New York University.
She has been in a few relationships with her co-stars like Milo Ventimiglia, before getting married. She started her modeling career at the age of 14. Her career in acting kicked start after she auditioned for the first time, for the role of Rory Gilmore in the show “Gilmore Girls” and she starred in the TV series for seven seasons after she landed the role in 2000.
She made her first big screen appearance in the movie “Tuck Everlasting”, in the year 2002. After that, she made several appearances in many big budget movies like “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “Sin City”. Her movie, “The Good Guy”, was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, in the year 2009. After that, she did many short roles for certain television dramas like “ER” and “Mad Men”.
Alexis signed a contract with the very famous modeling division of IMG, in the year 2009. She has worked with many famous actors like James McAvoy and Robin Wright in many movies.
