Tameka Harris (born as Tameka Pope), more renowned as Tiny Harris, was born on 14th July in the year 1975. The future singer and songwriter drew her first breath in College Park, Georgia, where she was raised by Charles Pope and Dianne Cottle. Tameka’s father and uncle were the founders of The Tams, an R&B group, and this strongly affected her own future.

Education

Tameka Harris studied at the Tri-Cities Performing Arts High School, and, while attending the school, she joined Xscape, an R&B quartet.

Career Experience

Since Tameka’s joining in 1992, the band had performed on various occasions and in various places. Once, Jermaine Dupri, a producer, descried the group and immediately signed them, acting on behalf of the So So Def Recordings, a new label that he had just created, then. It was a golden ticket for the group, and the cooperation with the label brought success and fame to the band.

In particular, Tiny Harris contributed to the group’s platinum albums, such as: “Traces of My Lipstick” (1998), “Off the Hook” (1995), and, their debut album, “Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha.” Moreover, at the time when Tameka was the band member, she obtained several Soul Train Music Awards as a Best New R&B Artist and for the Best Album in R&B. At the same time, Tiny Harris recorded such outstanding songs like “Am I Dreamin’”, “All I Need”, “Love’s a Funny Thing”, “Understanding”, as well as a number of soundtracks for movies.

However, the band broke apart after the successful release of the third album. In 2000, Tiny Harris together with her former band partner received a Grammy Award for their single, titled “No Scrubs”. Then, she started to cooperate with various artists, including Bow Wow, Lil’ Kim, T.I., and others.

In 2009, Tiny Harris makes her debut on TV by launching her reality series under the name “Tiny and Toya”, which had an enormous success with 3 million viewers of the series. In 2014, after making many personal changes, Tameka returned to the show business by signing a deal with Pretty Hustle, her new label. Almost immediately, she came up with the song “What The Fuck You Gon Do?”, which shot up right away in the tops of most charts. So far, the net worth of the singer is $3 million dollars.

Personal life

Tiny Harris started to date T.I., the rapper with whom she has cooperated for a long time, since 2001. They married in 2010, and have two sons: Major Philant Harris (born in 2008) and King C’Andre Harris (born 2004). Also, the couple had a stillborn daughter (died in 2007), and it was a painful hit for Tiny Harris. Her husband has 3 children from his previous marriages. Furthermore, in 2015 the couple announced that they are expecting another baby.

Tiny Harris’s dad, who initially made her to be fond of music, died at the age of 76 after a lingering fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

Tina Harris is incredibly popular in social networks: she has over 1.3 million and up to 28 thousand followers in Twitter and Instagram respectively. In particular, she likes to post photos everytime when she changes her hairstyle, which happens very often, and she likes to demonstrate that she has a great hair stylist.

Several years ago, however, the public discussed whether Tiny Harris could have had a stroke. However, the fears have not been confirmed. The changes in her look could have been caused by an eye surgery that she underwent in Africa (it is illegal in the U.S.), and it has been a quite dangerous operation. However, she is more satisfied with her eyes, which now have ice gray color. Before surgery, Tiny Harris had a brown color of eyes.
