Suzanne Malveaux

Suzanne M. Malveaux was born in Lansing, Michigan (United States) on December 4, 1966. Her family has French, Spanish and African roots. She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in sociology; Suzanne was also part of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.


Personal Life:

Her father is Doctor Floyd J Malveaux, he is the executive director of the “Merk Childhood Asthma Network” he was the dean of the College of Medicine at “Howard University”; He was also the founder of the “National Human Genoma center” at “Howard University”. Her mother is a retired school teacher; she is called Myrna Maria Ruiz.

Suzanne has also three siblings: Her twin Suzette Malveaux, a “Colombus School of Law” professor; Courtney Malveaux a ”Virginia department of labor and industry” commissioner and Gregory Malveaux a “Montgomery College” Professor of English.

She is a single woman, she has not married anyone yet; She says one of her dreams is to get married someday and have a family and great husband but she has also stated she is afraid of divorce rates and she fears she will get divorced as well. However, there have been speculations about her being in a relationship with T.J Homes; not only that but people also say that she can to be lesbian because it has been a long time since she is not in a relationship.

A few years ago Malveaux moved to Washington, D.C to take care of her mother, who is suffering from ALS; she said it has changed her life in a tremendous way that she even chronicled her mother’s battle against that illness in a Series of CNN, it was named “My Mother’s journey with ALS”

Career:

Malveaux is a Journalist that has worked in many important channels. She worked in CNN Co- anchoring in the International news program called “Around the World” and also in the “CNN Newsroom”.

She covered the White House correspondent-covering for more than ten years; with that work she had the opportunity of traveling to Africa, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia.

In September of 2005, she did a report about the devastation of hurricane “Katrina” in New Orleans and casually her family lived there in that moment, fortunately they were safe.

Malveaux was a correspondent for NBC News; she could travel the country because she used to cover breaking news.
