In 2008, Stefan had anchored for Palestra.net where he covered the presidential elections (2008) as well as the Southern California Wildfire (2007). Few years later in June 2011, Stefan joined NBC Chicago News as a weekend morning anchor and also as a reporter.
The following year in the month of February, Stefan got a promotion where he now had to co-anchor the broadcast of NBC 5 News Today on NBC starting from 4:30 p.m. Then in 2016 Stefan had to bid adieu to Chicago when he got hired by WNBC for anchoring a new broadcast starting from 4:30 p.m. Coincidentally, his father too had his job at the 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
