Born in the year 1958 in Lewiston situated in Idaho, United States of America, Kim Barnes spent the better half of the early days of her life in Idaho. She also was one of the runner-ups of the Pulitzer Prize and was also the recipient of the New Visions Award. In the year 2000, she went on to publish another memoir named Hungry for the World.

By this time, her popularity has increased very much and then she went to publish the novel named Finding Caruso in the year 2003. In the year 2008, she published another novel titled A Country Called Home. This book was also very well-received and critically acclaimed and helped her gain further popularity. After this, she published another book after four years in the year 2012 which was titled In the Kingdom of Men. All her work are widely appreciated and she is considered as one of the best authors of recent times.

Talking about her personal life, she is married to Robert Wrigley. The date of their wedding is not disclosed, but they are said to be in a very loving relationship. Her husband Robert Wrigley is also a poet and hence they are very compatible. Kim Barnes and her husband are proud parents of three children. She currently resides in Idaho along with her loving family. Nowadays, she also works at the University of Idaho as the creative writing teacher.
