Jeffrey Ross Lifschultz, more famous as simply Jeff Ross, was born on 13th September in the year 1965. He drew first his breath in Springfield, New Jersey, where he was raised in a Jewish family. Unfortunately, his parents died when he was very young yet: his mother, who suffered from leukemia, died when he was just 14 years old. Five years later, the father died too.


Education

At first, Jeff Ross studied at the Jonathan Dayton High School, located in his hometown. Thereafter, he enrolled in the College of Communication of the Boston University, which he successfully finished. In one interview, Jeffrey mentioned that he started to work already at the time of his studying at college: he had a job at the regional affiliate of the NPR, an American media organization, while being a director of the college’s WTBU radio station.

Career Experience

Presently known as an excellent roaster and insult comedian, he started to perform on the public right after his graduation in the late 1980s. The first noticeable public appearance of him occurred at the Boston Comedy Club’s open mike in New York City. Shortly afterwards, he got a minor role in the movie called “Celtic Pride”.

Right after his first appearance in New York City, he started to grow in popularity and get his own fans. He has become famous thanks to his perfectly suited insult jokes, and now he holds a title of the Roastmaster General. Among his most famous roasts, there are: Justin Bieber, James Franco, Mike Greenberg, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Hugh Hefner, Jerry Stiller, Rob Reiner, and others. Jeff Ross likes to remember his best joke, a dirty one, which, as he said, made his career. The joke was made at the expense of Bea Arthur, even though both of them were getting along well later. However, he has failed several times as well. One of his most famous and disputable jokes was directed towards Paul Walker, who died a year before the joke was actually made, and many fans have criticized this roast and supported its removal from the show.

Along with his career of the comedian, Jeff Ross started to appear in different TV series, such as “Six Feet Under”, and comedy shows like “Weeds” and “The Sarah Silverman Program.” However, his greatest recognition he got thanks to the film “Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Rose Home Movie”, where he made a tour to Iraq, to the US soldiers. In fact, he frequently visited American soldiers in Iraq and made his performances there. Not so long ago, he also visited Brazos County Jail, where he made a performance and where he was viewed, among others, by murderers and other criminals.

Concerning the personal life of Jeff Ross, it is not disclosed yet that he has had a love affair with any woman. According to Jeffrey, he is looking for a true love.

In 2009, he published a book called “I Only Roast the Ones I Love: Busting Balls Without Burning Bridges”. In addition, some money that the roaster earned for his public performances he donates for supporting cancer researches. In particular, he posts it on Twitter, where he has over – a whopping number! – 782 thousand followers.
