Since the very childhood of Dagmar, she has been seeking to find her place in the field of entertainment. However, she enrolled in the British Columbia Institute of Technology after she made up her mind to choose the path of a journalist. In 1990, she graduated from the university, obtaining a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

After graduating from the university, Dagmar Midcap took a decision to move to the United States, where she settled in Akron, Ohio. There, she took a job at the regional WBNX-TV channel, and there she led programs on current affairs for 8 years – from 1990 up to 1998. However, after getting quite much work experience in the media field of the United States, she came back to Vancouver, where she was a weather anchor on the program Breakfast of the VTV channel.
Later, she moved on and took a job of a fill-in reporter at the Morning Show broadcasted by BCTV, a channel of the Global Television Network. She achieved the position of the main meteorologist at the WGCL-TV in 2008, when she started to appear on TV in late afternoons and evenings. At the beginning of autumn in the year 2010, Dagmar Midcap left the station, explaining that it happened due to the huge physical and emotional distress.
In the midst of the autumn in the year 2011, she occupied a post of the weather anchor at the KNSD-TV channel, located in San Diego, California.
Apart from her main job as a meteorologist, Midcap has starred in an impressive number of movies and TV series. She got a recurring role in “Dark Angel”, an American science fiction TV series.
