Valerie Bertinelli

Valerie Bertinelli was born on the 23rd of April, 1960 in, Delaware to father Andrew Bertinelli and mother Nancy. She most of the time moved around urban areas in view of her dad's profession and she concentrated on acting at the Tami Lynn institute of Acting. She was enlisted in the Granada Slopes Secondary School for her instruction. She was very interested in acting and dancing since she was a child. She always participated in shows in her school as well as elsewhere. She also liked cooking and learnt it from her mother while growing. She was raised in a Catholic household with one older and two younger brothers, the family traveled to so many cities that she called herself a "GM brat." In her early teens, her father was transferred to the GM assembly plant in Van Nuys, California.

After watching her in the show Apple’s Way, producer Norman Lear approached Bertinelli for the audition of his new show. She was then chosen for the show as impressed by her audition. In 1975 the show debuted and Bertinelli got the lead role in the show. At that time, she was just 15 years old and went on to do 208 episodes for the show. After the show got over she started to look for other roles. She got a role in the TV series Sydney and café Americain. She did these two series and then left those in 2001. The same year she started doing the show touched by an Angel. Bertinelli was overweight for the most part while growing up until one day that she decided it was time to lose some weight. She lost 23 kg of weight in the process gaining worldwide acclaim for her strength and perseverance.

Valerie Bertinelli had been already married. She got married to her sweetheart, Eddie Van Halen on the eleventh of April, 1981. Their marriage has brought about a child, Wolfgang, who was born in 1991. The couple got a separation in 2007 and the purposes behind it were Eddie's cocaine enslavement and his refusal to stop it. Eddie experienced tongue cancer and needed to lose some segment of his tongue for it. Valerie Bertinelli has been married Tom Vitale since January 2011. They started dating from 2004 and they tied the knot in 2010. She is a vocal supporter of the body movement and has always supported obese people saying that it’s their body and should be their choice to either lose weight or not. She has motivated many people to lose weight by losing 23kg herself. She currently lives in New York with her husband and her son.
