Thomas “Tom” Bergeron was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on May 6, 1955. His mother was Née Costello “Kay” and his father was Raymond Bergeron. His family comes from Ireland, France and Canada; His parents were always supportive about his career.

Career:
Bergeron is an American Television comedian, he has also worked from 2001- 2015 as the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and he has also worked as the host of one of the most famous Reality series “Dancing with the stars”.
One of his first jobs ever was as a host of a game show called “Granite State Challenge”; it was on New Hampshire (NHPTV). Then he decided to move to the Boston Market in February 1982 and he joined as a radio personality on “WBZ-TV”.
He started showing himself as a solid professional with a good career in Boston Television, and since that WBZ decided to give him work on the radio “WBZ Radio”. There he also worked on many programs such as: “The Tom Bergeron Show”, “When people are talking”.
Even when the show ended after 13 years of being on the air, it was not the end of Bergeron career, he continued on WBZ TV as a reporter.
Personal Life:
Bergeron has been married to his wife Lois Harmon for more than 20 years. They got married on May 22, 1982. They always dreamed about having children and now it is a reality for them, they have two children.
He went through a really hard time when his father passed away but he was really honest about that with his fans, he even announced it with a quote he posted on twitter: “I will not be tomorrow on “Dancing with the stars” because my dad has passed away”.
His father was one of his inspirations throughout his career, he said his father gave him the support he needed whenever he needed; in fact there were a lot of people who told him to give up on the career because he was not good enough but his father was one of the persons that always pushed him to never give up.
He always says his father believed in him even when he was not a great personality on TV or radio and that support gave him a special strength.

Tom is a really calm and kind person, but it was not like that in the past; he confessed he struggled with Anger management for a lot of years, and that the cure was to meditate and to practice yoga.
Through all of these problems, he says his family, his wife and his children were always so patient and supportive. He is really thankful for them because and he also says his family is the most important thing in his life and that without them he would not be where he is right now.
He also says his work has allowed him to know really good people and friends that are always there for him when he needs it.
