Shelby Blackstock (full name Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock) was born on February 23, 1990 in Nashville, Tennessee. There is no information about his early childhood and pre education. His parents are Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock. His mother is a country musician and singer. He also has a half-brother Brandon, who named his son after Shelby and actually married to famous singer Kelly Clarkson. He also has two older siblings Shawna and Chassidy. He started his career in the College years, when he went to a Bob Bondurant race school. In the end he didn’t get a full education and left College to pursue a racing career. He made his first appearance at the Skip Barber competition in both 2010 and 2011. Driving a Ford Mustang car ge made his brilliant debut in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge in the 2011. In the same year, during the participation in the Skip Barber National Championship he finished fifth. The next year Shelby was involved in the United States F2000 National Championship along with racing team Andretti Autosport.
He showed not so good results at the Road America, cause he finished just eighth in points. In the 2013 he appeared again as a member of the Andretti Autosport team in the Pro Mazda Championship and finished with a third position in points and got a win at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. The next year he was involved again in Pro Mazda along with his team Andretti, but got only fourth place in points and in the end did not win a race victory. In the 2015 he signed a deal to race for the Andretti Autosport team in the famous “Indy Lights” racing series. In the 2016 he appeared in the “Indy Lights” again, even with better results. He also worked for Fall-Line Motorsports.
