Kristen Holden

Kristen Holden (Kris Holden-Ried) was born on August 1, 1973 in Pickering, Ontario. He is of German ancestry. There is no information about his parents. He attended a local school in Pickering. Kristen continued his education at the Montreal's Concordia University School of Business. He was a very active in different sports and even was a member of the Canadian National Pentathlon Team.


He started his acting career in the middle of the 90s, when he joined a small agency in Montreal. He was in need of money for h education, so he took several auditions. His first audition that came up was the role in "Young Ivanhoe", which was a dramatic TV movie. Since then he has made his appearance in such projects like “Night of the Demons 3 ”, “Going to Kansas City”, “Paradise Falls” and “Degrassi: The Next Generation”. He played Shawn Ritchie during 1997-2000 in the TV series “Riverdale”. In the 1999 he appeared in the movie “Forget Me Never” with a role of Shaun. The next year he appeared as Captain Heineman in the film “The Crossing”. In the 2002 he was involved in drama movie “K-19: The Widowmaker ” along with Harrison Ford, where he played the role of Anton. The same year he also appeared in the movie “A Killing Spring”. He also took a part in such movies like “Touch of Pink”, “Big Girl”, “Niagara Motel” and “Ice Bound: A Woman's Survival at the South Pole”. He got his breakthrough time in the 2007, when he joined the cast of the popular television series “The Tudors ”. He portrayed William Compton character for 7 episodes. In the same year he also played in the film “Emotional Arithmetic” with a role of Young Jakob Bronski.

In the 2008 he appeared in both “MVP” and “A Broken Life”. In the 2009 he played Colin Nottingham in the film “Santa Baby 2: Christmas Maybe”. He appeared in the 3 episodes of the TV series “The Bridge” as Mike Bodanski. In the 2010 he got the main role in the television series “Lost Girl ”, where he was the cast for five years in a row. During this time he also was involved in several special episodes like “Lost Girl Finale Pre-Show ”, “Lost Girl: An Evening at the Clubhouse ” and “Lost Girl ConFAEdential ”. In the 2010 he also appeared in the “Ben Hur”. He played Adam Reynolds in the 15 episodes of “The Listener”. He is very recognizable thanks to his role of Quint Lane from mystic fantasy movie “Underworld: Awakening”. He played Gage in the movie “Sex After Kids”. In the 2013 he also appeared in the film “The Returned”.

He is a married man. There is quite a little information about his personal life and wife, except several photos in the media. The couple is blessed with one kid.
