Jimmy Kimmel was born in the year 1967 on November 13th. He was the first child of his parents, James John Kimmel and Joan. Though he was born in Brooklyn, his family shifted to Mill Basin!
His father worked as an executive in the IBM industry and his mother was a homemaker. His father earned only enough to provide him and his brothers with good livelihood and educational facilities. He has been brought up as a Catholic though his mother belonged from an Italian background. However, when his father was transferred they had to settle in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jimmy was only nine years old and went to the Ed. W. Clark High School.
Jimmy Kimmel was very popular in his school for sense of humour and jokes. He made everybody laugh with his humour play. He also anchored several school programmes from a very young age. There were many reasons including his academic performances which fetched him the tag of being the best student. He went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to do a diploma course for a year and after that to the Arizona State University for earning an honorary degree.
After finishing his university education, Jimmy started his career as a radio host. He joined the radio station and secured the attention of many audiences within a year. A show known as ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ was also launched due to his huge popularity. Besides, he also took several interviews of many television personalities on the radio channel.
He has also received many honours from KZZP-FM for being the most popular radio host. He has worked with many popular radio stations and after that got diverted towards comedy which paved his path towards the television industry. When he appeared in the Win Ben Stein’s Money show, he won the attention of the audience with his humour. Other than this, he has made several appearances as a comedian on many popular shows.

He was first married to Gina Maddy in the year 1988 with whom he got divorced in the year 2002. He also has a son and a daughter with her. After that, he married Molly McNearney in the year 2013 and the couple has been blessed with two children, a son and a daughter.
