Jackie Macmullan

Jackie Macmullan under the full name Jackie Mac Macmullan, was born in 1960 and she is a freelance newspaper sportswriter in America for the NBA and for the sports website at the ESPN.com and she played the Division I basketball for the Wildcats. Macmullan had been a columnist and also an associate editor for the Boston Globe until she took the buyout. She started to write of Globe in the year 1982. Since the year 1995 up to 2000, she had covered NBA like a senior writer for the Sports Illustrated.

MacMullan was able to collaborate with the Larry Bird on the autobiography he had which was under the name Bird Watching: On Playing and Coaching The Game I love. She had released the Geno: in Pursuit of Perfection with Geno Auriemma in the year 2006. She had written for the New York Times a best Seller book called for When the Game Was Ours with Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.

MacMullan had been the correspondent reporter for many several cable television networks which include the WDHD-TV, NESN and CNNSI. She is a panelist at ESPN program such as the Around the Horn. She had co-hosted many episodes of the Network on the Pardon the Interruption.  

Jackie Macmullan received a Curt Gowdy Media Award at Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. This is an award given on annually basis to the member of electronic media and print who made the significant contribution to the game of the basketball. Macmullan had been the first woman who received the honor for the 21-year history.

Jackie Macmullan works in the male dominated career and she started with her basketball career while she was still in the high school.
