Heather Headley was born in the year 1974 and she is an actress, record producer, songwriter and singer of Trinidadian-American citizenship. She is the winner of a Drama Desk Award, of a Grammy Award and a Tony Award. She had been nominated for other music and acting accolades.


From her biography, Heather Headley was born in the city of Trinidad and her parents are Eric and Hannah Headley. Eric was a Barbadian. When she was four years, she was already playing Trinidad music and they include Soca and Calypso. In the year 1989, together with her brother Eric Jr, and her mother, they moved to live in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Her father was given the job to work as a pastor at Mckee Street Church of Good which had the headquarters in the city of Anderson in Indiana.

Heather Headley went to Northrop High School and she was the member of the resident show choir known as Charisma. She was Fanny Brice in the production of her school called Funny Girl. When she graduated, at Northrop High School, she went to Northwestern University and there she did musical theatre and communication. There, she became a member for the Ragtime musical and dropped out of the school.

In the year 2003, Heather Headley got married and her husband is Brian musso. He was a member for New York Jets and the two went to Northern University. In 2009, they got their first child who they named John David. Their second son named Jordan Chase was born in the year 2014. She likes to perform at Vertical Church Band, where she is in worship team of Harvest Bible Chapel. She had featured in their songs All Glory and How Great is The Love

Heather Headley was in the original role as Nala for The Lion King, a Broadway musical. Her performance was received well and then she originated the role of Aida which was also the name of Broadway adaptation for Aida. She was winner for Tony Award for the Best Actress of 2000. In the year 1999, she was in Encores production in Do Re Mi together with Brian Stokes Mitchell, Randy Graft and Nathan Lane. She was the star for the concert version for Dreamgirls Musical together with Lillas White and Audra McDonald.

Heather Headley sung I’ ll Never Fall In Love Again of Burt Bacharach and Hal David from Promises, Promises musical of 1968. Heather Headley released her first album called This is Who I Am under RCA Records. He first single called He Is did not became successful but the single called I Wish I Wasn’t had some success.
