This American television comedy director, producer, and writer was born with the birth name Gregory Martin Daniels on the 13th of June 1963. Hence, he is presently 55 years old. A television personality famous for his well-loved series such as Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, Parks and Recreation, King of the Hill and The Office, he is born to Judy and Aaron Daniels.

As a media practitioner, Daniels met his wife, Susanne Dari Lieberstein, during one of his shows. She happened to monitor ant take Lorne Michael’s phone calls during Saturday Night Live and this resulted in their union in 1991. Their union has yielded four lovely kids namely Maya, Charlotte, Haley, and Owen.

Of course, Daniels has been accordingly recognized and rewarded for his effort and immense contributions to the creation and development of television series and programs. So far, he has had 20 Emmy Awards Nominations and has successfully earned four of those nominations. Upon his employment by The Simpsons in 1993 and despite joining the staff in the 5th Season, he was able to make a mark in the creation of interesting episodes which earned him a nomination in the same year.

He got the nomination for the “Outstanding Individual Achievement in Music and Lyrics”. In the following season, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program”. Following his departure to The Office, he was awarded the “Outstanding Comedy Series for The Office, “Outstanding Comedy Series for The Office: Gay Witch Hunt” and in 2008, he got the “Outstanding Television Writer Award” from Austin Film Festival.

Daniels can be described as a screenwriter who has performed impressively in his media career, though he didn’t begin smooth. His association with Conan O’Brien launched him into his career with Not Necessarily the News for a while as the employment was short lived for budget reasons. Afterward, he became a staff of The Simpsons where he wrote “Bart Sells His Soul” “Lisa’s Wedding”, “Secrets of a Successful Marriage”, “The Devil and Homer Simpson” among others. To further demonstrate his versatility, he collaborated with Mike Judge to create a new series named King of the Hill with Daniels rewriting and recreating several major characters.

Subsequently, The Office, a famous BBC series was adapted by him in 2005 with more acceptance from American viewers. This great interest inspired James Poniewozik to label this series as the 2nd Best Television Series of 2006. Daniels went on to sign a deal with NBC in 2011, Mindy Kaling and Alan Yang who would contribute towards the creation of animated series for the target audience.
