Personal Life
According to his biography, he was born as Eric Samuel Andre on the southern coast of Florida in a city called Boca Raton, on the date 5th April 1983. He is the son of a Jewish American mother, who worked as a teacher. His father, who works as a psychiatrist, is of both African-American and Haitian descent. In 2001, Andre studied in one of the country’s most recognized public art schools, The Dreyfoos School of the Arts, located in West Palm Beach in Florida. Andre went on to study in America’s premier college for contemporary music situated in Boston, The Berklee College of Music. Some of the college’s well-known alumni include John Mayer, Charlie Puth, Meghan Trainer and others.
Eric graduated in 2005 with a degree in Fine Arts and he was trained as a double bass while at Berklee. He dated the very talented actress, Rosario Dawson in 2016 but the couple broke up the next year. Other than this, there have been no such rumors regarding his affairs as he keeps his personal life private. Eric’s colleagues describe him as a friendly and easy going person, who is fun and easy to work with. He believes himself to be an atheist.
Career
Eric Andre always wanted to pursue a career in acting and as soon as he completed his graduation he started looking up for roles in movies and television series. He initiated his career, in the year 2009, by doing very small roles in documentaries and short films like “The Invention of Lying” and “The Skin”.
His most groundbreaking achievement in the television business occurred when he created his own show, named “The Eric Andre Show”, which started airing in the year 2012 and is still airing. This show was a comedy talk show which included interviews with various celebrities, shock humor, and pranks, which aired late night under the slot for ‘Adult Swim’ on the Cartoon Network channel. He also acted in the very famous comedy television series, named “Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23”, which aired between 2012 and 2013.
Eric played the character of Mike Reynolds in the ABC comedy show. Other than this, he has done several roles appearing as guest stars in many of the famous television series like “The Big Bang Theory” and “Level Up”. The actor’s most noticeable guest appearance was in the television series, “2 Broke Girls”, in which he played the character named Deke.
Adding to Andre’s fame was his appreciable role as Mike, in the comedy television series “Man Seeking Woman”, which was an FXX channel production and it aired first in the year 2015. Its third season aired in the year 2017 and it was the last season. His recent movie credits include “Flock of Dudes” and “Rough Night” which premiered in the years 2015 and 2017 respectively. He is currently filming to be the voice of ‘Azizi” in the 2019 feature of “The Lion King”. His net worth is estimated to be somewhere around 500 thousand US dollars.
