According to her biography, Aileen Quinn took birth in Yardley, in Pennsylvania, on 28th June 1981, with the name Aileen Marie Quinn given to her. Her mother, Helenann Quinn, was a famous actress and singer in the television and radio world and she always looked up to her mother and aspired to be like her when she used to watch her work in theatre plays. The actress completed her schooling at the Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child, situated in the city of Summit of New Jersey.
She got into acting after her high school, from which she took a break to complete her education. She joined the Drew University of New Jersey and graduated from it in the year 1994, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in the subject of Spanish while she did a minor in Political Science.
During her graduation, she spent a few months in Chile, as a part of the student-exchange program and this was a life-changing experience for her. She is extremely good at speaking Spanish. Aileen Quinn started her career in acting when she auditioned for the play “Annie Get Your Gun” while she was very young and she received the part. She landed her first big screen role in the movie “Paternity” which was a very small part and it was followed by her joining the commercial business in which she appeared in many commercials for companies like “Northern Bathroom Tissues”.
Quinn got to be the understudy in the Broadway production of the play “Annie”, while she was in New York. Quinn auditioned for almost a year after this through which she had to struggle a lot to find an appropriate role for her. The major breakthrough occurred in her acting career in 1984 when she landed the lead role of Annie in the movie “Annie”, which led her to receive many nominations for awards like the Golden Globe Awards. She signed a contract with the Columbia Pictures for the sequels of the movie “Annie”, but the movies were never made and the contract diluted after some years.

After graduation, she resumed her career in acting by appearing in many Broadway stage plays like “Peter Pan” and followed it up by doing small roles in movies like “Multiple Touches of Sarcasm”.
