Wendy Williams

Wendy Williams is a well-known actress, TV host, fashion designer, former radio personality and author who hails from the country of the United States of America. Wendy Williams is immensely popular in the media for her nationally syndicated TV Talk Show which is called, “The Wendy Williams Show”.


Personal Life

Wendy Williams was born on the 18th of July, in the year 1964, in Asbury Park, located in the state of New Jersey, in the country of the United States of America, thereby making her a citizen of the country by virtue of her birth itself.

Wendy Williams’s parents were Shirley and Thomas Williams and she had two siblings as well, with her being the middle one. Wendy Williams spent the early years of her life in the Wayside portion of the Ocean Township. Her older sister Wanda was a bookworm, yet Wendy Williams was the sharper child. Wendy Williams is from an African-American background.

Wendy Williams went to the Ocean Township High School as a young student. From the years 1982 to 1986, Wendy Williams was a student at the Northeastern University which is situated in the city of Boston, in the state of Massachusetts. It was from there that Wendy Williams earned her B.A degree in the field of communications.

At present, Wendy Williams is married. Prior to being a married woman, Wendy Williams was in a relationship with Erick Sermon, the American musician. The relationship though a short one, did catch the eye of the media. Wendy Williams’ first marriage was to Robert Morris III. The duo were in a relationship for two years beginning from the year 1992, later the couple got married, in the year 1994 and the marriage lasted for a brief period of time, ending in the very next year, 1995, itself.

Later, in the year 1997, Wendy Williams got married to Kevin Hunter. The couple met each other after Wendy Williams’ divorce in the year 1995. The ceremony was held on the 30th of November, 1997. It has been 21 years since the union and they are yet inseparable. Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter have one child from their union, a boy, named Kevin Hunter Jr.

Career

Wendy Williams began her career as DJ while she worked for the college radio station called WRBB. Later, she went on to work for WVIS, situated in the United States Virgin Islands. A year later, Wendy Williams began working an afternoon shift at WOL, which was in Washington DC. It was at the WQHT that Wendy Williams worked the overnight shift on weekends. She has received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Hairstyling and was nominated for several other awards.

Later on the 14th of July, in the year 2008, Wendy Williams debuted with her TV Talk Show called The Wendy Williams Show. The show was a six week trial for television. After the successful trial, it was made a permanent fixture by the FOX network and this show became the sole reason for her having a successful career in media.

A controversial part of her career involved a lawsuit in 2008 when Nicole Spence sued Kevin Hunter and Williams for discriminatory treatment and unlawful business practices.

Wendy has authored several books in her career, many of which have gone on to become very famous. Some of them include: The globalization of love, Drama is her Middle Name, Hold me in Contempt: a romance and many more.
