Sarah Shahi is a well-known American actress that has worked in various television dramas and movies. She was the former cheerleader of NFL and has American citizenship. The birth name of Sarah Shahi is AahooJahansouzShahi. She came into this world on 10th January 1980 in the city of Euless located in Texas.


Biography and Early Life

Sarah’s mother is Man Monir who works as interior designer while her father Abbas Shahibelongs to Iran. Her parents had a divorce when Sarah was only 10 years old. She has two siblings, one elder brother named Cyrus and a younger sister named Samantha. She took on Sarah as first name after she listen “Sarah” song during her second grade. She got her education from High School of Trinity. During her childhood days, she was the captain of her basketball and volleyball teams.

She attended University of Southern Methodist located inDallas and got a major in Theatre and English. At an early age of 8, Sarah’s parents allowed her to participate in various beauty contests. At a young age of 17, she won the pageant of Miss Fort Worth during the year of 1997. She always wanted to be an actress and for that, she got associated with Cheerleader group of Dallas Cowboys in the year 1999-2000. Though, she does not have any knowledge regarding the same. She made her appearance on the front page of the squad’s calendar in the year 2000. After that, she moved to the city of Los Angeles for further opportunities.

Acting Career

Sarah started her career as spareartist in the drama named “Dr. T and the Women”. After getting encouragement from Robert Altman, director she relocated herself to Hollywood. After reaching Hollywood she got roles in various series like “Alias”, “Reba”, “Supernatural” and “Dawson’s Creek”. She played the character of Farah during the “Sleeper cell” second season. She showed her acting skills when she played Zoe in movie “Rush Hour Three”.

Sarah landed her first leading role of a homicide detective in series of NBC called “Life” in the year 2007. She has acted in various TV shows like “Fairly Legal”, “Chicago Fire” and “Person of Interest”. Sarah also acted in movie “Bullet to the Head” in which she portrayed the role of Sylvester Stallone’s daughter.

During last year February, she was selected for the iconic role of Nancy Drew, the detective in a television series built on the famous Nancy Drew books. She also resumed her role of Shaw in the series “Person of Interest” from May 2016 until the series finally ended on 21st June 2016.

Personal Life

In 2007 June, Sarah got engaged to Steve Howey during their vacation in Hawaii. After two years they both got married on 7th February 2009 in the beautiful city of Las Vegas. Her husband is also a well- known American actor. The couple is blessed with 3 lovely children. Her first child is William Wolf which was born on 8th July 2009. After an interval of 6 years, on 1st March 2015, she gave birth to twins. The names of her younger son and daughter are Knox Blue and Violet Moon respectively. Currently, her net worth is $3 million dollars.
