Miranda Katherine Hart Dyke was born on the 14th of December, 1972 in Torquay, Devon, England. Her parents, Captain David Hart Dyke RN and Diana Margaret Luce, were happy to welcome their daughter. As to the siblings, Miranda is the oldest in the family and she has a sister, Alice Louisa Hart Dyke. It is also important to say about her ancestors, who were barons, marquises, earls, and dukes. While being a child, she and her family moved to Petersfield, Hampshire. There Miranda attended an independent girls' boarding school Downe House. During the formative years, she entered the University of the West of England in Bristol and graduated from it with a degree in political science. Later, she attended postgraduate course in Acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts.


Her career as an actress started by playing in some sitcoms like “Not Going Out” and “Hyperdive” where she was seen in the role of Teal. It was a good start for her and she even got the Comedy Award. Soon, she began appearing with some secondary roles on “Lead Ballonn”, “William and Mary”, “Nighty Night” and many other British sitcoms. Miranda later decided to create her own autobiographical sitcom named “Miranda”. It has a huge success and made Hart more famous than she was before. The program was shown on BBC Two from 2008 to 2014. “Miranda” had a lot of approvals for more than 4 years, and was rewarded with the Royal Television Society Award.

She also took part as a guest in the British show “Have I Got News for You”. In 2012, Hart performed a role of Camilla “Chummy” Fortescue-Cholmeley-Browne in the BBC One drama Call the “Midwife”. Later, she presented a one-off interview show with her hero Bruce Forsyth called “When Miranda Met Bruce”. During the years, she was shooting in such films as “Call the Midwife”, “Gangsta Granny”, “Klondyke Kate”, “Spy” and “12 in a Box”. Hart also launched her show titled “The Miranda Hart’s Joke Shop” on BBC Radio 2. Beside acting, she is an author of several feature books like “Is It Just Me?”, “Peggy and Me”, “The Best of Miranda”. Nowadays she is a very successful woman and a good actress. There are thousands of fans following her. Due to the persistent work, her net worth is estimated to be nearly $4.7 million dollars.

As to the personal life in her biography, she seems to have no husband or children. She does not like to talk much about her relationships. Miranda was never noticed to have some affairs with her colleagues or other celebrities. She tries to keep her life in secret, though many mass medias want to find out just a little bit information about her boyfriend or some relationship at least. She also believes in God, and is a genuine Christian. In some of the shows, she announced that she suffers from asthma.
