Mayim Bialik

Mayim Bialik is an American actress and she is well known because of the role she had in the Film Beaches and on the television shows: The Big Bang theory and Blossom.  Blossom had been born in the 1975 in California and raised in Los Angeles. She is a reform Jew.  She started acting when she was still young and she landed large roles that lead her into the fame but this fame had been short-lived.

Mayim Bialik started acting in late 1980s. The first acting job she got was in a horror film called Pumpkinhead and it was followed by many guests appearance on most known shows for 1980s and in 90s.  This included MacGyver, The Facts of Live and Webster. Bialik was a young girl character of Bette Midler in Beaches Film. She appeared in the song Liberian Girl of Michael Jackson.

Mayim Bialik breaking moment was when she played in Blossom as the main character who had the same name. She got more attention as the show itself was gaining the popularity. When the Blossom ended, she did voice over work for some cartoons and she appeared like a guest star on many television shows.  While acting, Mayim Bialik continued her studies and focused more on the school work. She graduated from the University of California and was accepted in Yale and Harvard. She got a degree in the neuroscience, Jewish and Hebrew studies. She has a PH.D in neuroscience that she completed in the year 2007.

When Mayim Bialik returned in acting, she got role in The Big Bang Theory for its third season where she was Amy Farrah Fowler, the girlfriend of the main character.  She also acted like a neurobiologist which was the same as her real career. She performed well and she got nomination for Emmy Award because of her outstanding supporting actress within the comedy series.

Mayim Bialik suffered an accident in the Los Angeles and it was said that she suffered severe laceration on her thumb and left hand. Some said that she may also lose one of her finger because of this; however, she refuted this on the social media including twitter that she is not about losing any of her fingers.  The accident took place when she was driving in her car but another car collided in her car at the Hollywood Boulevard intersection.

Even if Mayim Bialik’s biography shows that she spent most of her life in California, her grandparents were the immigrants from Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Poland. Mayim Bialik is married to Michael Stones since 2003.  The marriage took place in the traditional Jewish custom and Victorian themed ceremony. Stone was a Mormon but converted and become Jew.  They have two sons, one was born in the year 2005 and  the other one in 2008. She stopped to work as a research professor to work on TV again since she wanted to be the right parent to his children. Mayim Bialik is a celebrity spokesperson of the Holistic Moms Network. She is a vegan and she has a blog, where she writes ideas she supports.
