Matthew Grey Gubler

The biography of Matthew Grey Gubler began on 9th March in the year 1980 – the day he was born. The future actor drew the first breath in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was born in the family of John and Marilyn Gubler. His parents worked as an attorney and a political consultant (and also rancher) respectively.

Education

At first, Matthew Grey Gubler studied at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in his hometown, and his major there was acting. However, it was not his own choice, but rather a “forced decision”: there was no major in filmmaking, and Matthew had to accept acting. However, he obtained a degree in Film Directing after he graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts of the New York University. Later, he studied at the University of California.

Career Experience

Matthew Grey Gubler began his career as a model, after he was descried by model scouts. Several times he was included in the ratings of the 50 male models. However, while working as a model, he was invited to play a role in “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou”, which gave an incredible jump to his career. Thanks to the highly successful debut, he obtained a leading role in “Criminal Minds”, which brought him worldwide recognition.

Thereafter, he played roles and voiced characters in an impressive number of movies and TV series. However, once he began his acting career, the actor did not forget about his passion: filmmaking. During the production of “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou”, Matthew Grey Gubler made a documentary that showed how the production of the film was going behind the scenes. Later, it was included in the DVD Disc of the film. Later, he made a series of mockumentaries, a mix of documentaries and parodies, which mocked the behavior in Hollywood. He has been a director of a large number of clips, as well as Gubler has directed some episodes of the “Criminal Minds”.

After all, in addition to his careers of the model, actor, and film director, he started to paint. After Matthew Grey Gubler made his paintings available on his website in 2005, he has been consistently posting them there. Also, his paintings appeared in several journals and expositions. One of his paintings was sold at a price of $10,100 via eBay (and the money he received from it the actor spent on donation). At the present time, the actor somehow succeeds to combine the careers of the actor, painter, and film director. Up to date, his net worth is believed to be $1.5 million.

Personal life

Matthew Grey Gubler is not married. However, he has had more than 8 girlfriends. He does his best to keep personal life far from the eyes of the public. Recently, however, it was reported that he supposedly dated Taylor Swift. However, it has never been confirmed, although the couple was spotted together.

When he was promoting the movie “(500) Days of Summer” (2009) where he starred, he got a nasty knee injury. Despite concerns about his health, Matthew Grey Gubler has recently said in an interview that the injury is a thing of the past.
