Maria Molina Timmer was born on April 7, 1987 in Nicaragua. There is no any information about her parents, but she has a younger brother. She is of Nicaraguan descent. She was raised in South Florida. When she was just five years old, her hometown was suffered by Hurricane Andrew, which was of Category 5, later she said that she was inspired by this case to become a meteorologist. During her high school, she was a cheerleader and majorette.


Afterwards, she studied at the Florida State University. She graduated in the 2008 with a bachelor degree in meteorology as well as minors in Math and Communications. During her college years she was a Member of Women in Math, Science, and Engineering Program. In the 2015 she reached Masters of Arts degree in Climate and Society from Columbia University in the City of New York. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy degree at the Central Michigan University. She has earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society.

After her graduation from Florida State Uversity she worked as a science teacher for seventh graders. She started her television career in State College, Pennsylvania being a bilingual TV meteorologist for AccuWeather. For several years she appeared with weather forecasts in both English and Spanish languages. At the end of the 2010 she joined one of the most successful U.S. television networks - Fox News Channel.

She has made her appearance on different Fox shows, include her regular work at the “FOX & Friends”, which is a popular morning show. She also was involved in “Fox Business Network”, “Fox News Latino”, “Fox Sports Networks” as well as on “Fox News Radio”. She left Fox Channel at the end of the 2016. Previously, in the 2012 she was named as the youngest meteorologist on cable. Currently, she worked as meteorologist at 4FSU Weather, which is located in Tallahassee, Florida.

She is known as a baseball lover. She also speaks both Spanish and English fluently. During her career, she also served on such TV stations like WTVJ-TV, WSCV-TV situated in Miami, Florida, and the WAVY-TV, an NBC affiliate located in Portsmouth, Virginia. She appeared at the South Florida Today show at her native land. She also appeared in the All American New Year in the 2012.

In the 2014 she engaged with her colleague Reed Timmer. The couple married on December 26, 2015 at The Masaya Volcano National Park in Nicaragua. Her husband is a meteorologist and storm chaser. The couple doesn’t have any children yet. There is no information about her previous relationship. She never opened up a lot about her personal life in the reality show.
