American actress Deidre Ann Hall was born on October 31, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has grown in a large family with four siblings, one of which was her twin Andrea Hall. She spent her childhood in Lake Worth, Florida, where she attended the Lake Worth High School. When Deidre was a pupil, she liked psychology and her dream was to become a psychologist. She pursued this dream, attending psychology classes.


After high school, Deidre entered to Palm Beach Junior College. At that time she had some part time jobs as a model. Sometimes she took a part in TV shows, however, all these jobs Deidre considered as temporary, and she did not want to betray her childhood dream to become a psychologist.

Since 1970 Deidre Hall began to participate in TV series, playing episodic roles. Step by step she realized that the acting is her destiny. She rejected the idea to become a psychologist and delved into the career of an actress.

From 1970 to 1973 she played only episodic roles in TV series San Francisco International Airport (1970), Night Gallery (1971), Adventures of Nick Carter (1972), Adam-12 (1972) and The Streets of San Francisco (1972). In 1974 she received her first regular role in TV series The Young and the Restless. Deidre played there Barbara Anderson from 1973 to 1975. This role was her springboard to much more interesting roles.

Her most famous role came to her right after she left The Young and the Restless in 1976. Deidre Hall was invited to play Dr. Marlena Evans in a TV soap opera Days of Our Lives. This role made Deidre internationally famous. She has played there since 1976 until now, and with short brakes. For the role of Dr. Marlena Evans, Hall won Soapy Award for Best Actress two times (1982, 1983), Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama two times (1984, 1995 and was nominated in 1999 and 2005). She was also nominated on Daytime Emmy Award three times (1980, 1984 and 1985) and TV Land Award for Superest Super Hero in 2005.

Apart from her regular appearance in the Days of Our Lives, Deidre Hall had other regular roles. In 1976 she played the main character Electra Woman in TV series Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. In 1986 she joined another NBC TV series Our House, where she have played Jessica Witherspoon for two years.

Deidre Hall is a hot, sexy and rich woman. Her net worth is estimated to be 12 million dollars with a salary 60 thousand dollars per month. Her private life was more than stormy. Her first husband was William Hudson. They married in 1966 but after four years of marriage they divorced. Second time she married to a singer Keith Barbour in 1972. This time she has lived in marriage a little bit more – five years, but in 1977 another divorce stopped their relationship. After she had two more husbands (Michael Dubelko and Steve Sohmer). With her last husband Steve Sohmer they divorced in 2006, despite of their two mutual children.
