Randy Travis, a song writer, an actor and a guitarist by profession, came to life on May 4th 1959. He is a Native American and was born in Marshville, North Carolina, U.S. He was born to the parents Bobbie who was a factory worker by profession and to Harold who was a farmer, teacher, horse breeder and a businessman by profession. His parents had 6 children and Travis was second of them. Travis’ parents never refused him being in the musical industry and they always acted as an encouragement to him.

He started playing musical instruments at a very small age of 8 years when most of the children are learning to interact with the outside world. In spite of the freedom given to Travis by his parents, he was rebellious in nature. He dropped out of high school at his young age and this did not go down very well with his father. He was also involved in a lot of criminal activities in his teen and was arrested many times because of that. He and his brother were involved in a lot of thefts and cases related to alcohol abuse. While very young however, Travis started performing in various night clubs and competitions and even went on to win some of them. Travis was also very recently arrested in 2012, when he was found driving his car and was under the influence of alcohol. He was even found naked on road while having consumed alcohol. Travis suffered from a massive stroke in the year 2013 and was admitted in emergency to the Hospital. Later he recovered from the stroke and is doing fine now. Travis has been married multiple times in the past. He married his past wife Lib Hatcher in the year 2010 and the relationship went on for 19 years. However later on the couple filed for a divorce and separated. In 2015, Travis married his present wife Mary Davis and is staying with her since then.
According to his biography update, Travis started performing in various clubs and later on went on to record his own album as well. However the album and the songs were not appreciated and did not find any takers in the music industry. Travis however later signed a contract with Warner Bros and came up with his debut album ‘Storms of Life’ in 1986. The album went on to become a major hit and all the songs were appreciated from the album. Later on he produced and worked in multiple albums including ‘Always & Forever’, ‘Wind in the Wire’, ‘You and You Alone’, ‘Glory Train: Songs of Faith, Worship, and Praise’ and many others. He also came out with popular songs like ‘Forever and Ever, Amen’, ‘Three Wooden Crosses’, ‘Nothin But A Good Time’ amongst many others. Travis has been awarded with numerous awards including the prestigious Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, GMA Dove Awards and multiple others.
Travis is known to have a total net worth of around $32 million and the net worth is projected to increase in future as well considering his present performances. He is quite popular on the website You Tube with most of his songs having more than a million views.
