Becky Quick

Born as Rebecca Quick on July 18, 1972, Becky is an American national. She spent her early life in Indiana, Texas where her father was a geologist and employed in ‘booms;' an oil production company. She is the only sister of three brothers and is the eldest one. Later her family settled in Medford, New Jersey, because of the shift of ‘booms’ in the same city. Becky graduated in the year 1993 from the Rutgers University, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in arts, opting political science as her major subject. She was a quite confident student from the very beginning and eventually worked as chief editor for Daily Targum, the daily newspaper of school of Rutgers’s University. During this period she was facilitated by the Journalism resources institute with Times Mirror fellowship. While in New Jersey, she has also extended her services to The Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.


Her first stand in her profession was the Wall Street journal; Quick was allotted the job to cover the e-commerce and retail industry. In 1996, she was involved with the launching of the paper’s official website and she served as International news editor for the same.

Becky’s involvement with CNBC is from FebruaryStreet 2001, where she works as a TV journalist and anchorwoman. She conducts two regular shows for the Channel, both related to financial news. One of them is ‘Squawk Box' where she is the co-anchor and the other one is ‘On the money.' She is known to be a strong and bold personality, brimming with confidence. She has conducted various interviews, with the most successful, inspirational and influential investors namely Warren Buffet, Bill gates, Charlie Munger etc. She is considered to be one of the most uncompromising and honest interviewers of this age. Rebecca has also hosted various reputable conferences, these include Fortune's Most Powerful Women's Conference, Microsoft CEO Conference, and the Allen & Co. Sun Valley Media Conference. Interviews of three of the presidents of the U.S. has also added to her credit. She also hosted a documentary over the television in 2007, titled as ‘Warren Buffett: The billionaire next door going global. Becky is supposed to have an annual salary of $300,000 and owing to her hard work and determination she has a net worth of around $2 million.

She is not only a profound TV presenter, but also speaks through her pen . She writes regular column for Fortune Magazine and also for the website of CNBC.

Her Personal life has not been a fairy tale for sure, but at present it is stable. Back in 2006 she was married to Kevin Cahilane, a computer programmer. However, this marriage didn’t last long and divorce soon took place in 2008. She gave her marriage another shot with Matt Quayle. Her husband is the executive producer of Squawk Box. The couple has a son named Kyle Nathaniel Quayle, who was born on August 15, 2011.

Becky Quick is ardent supporter of the ‘Brain Injury Association, New Jersey.' She got inspired to do so because one of her brothers have Brain Injury.
