Sherry Stringfield

Sherry Stringfield was born in the year 1967 and she is actress of American origins. She is known to play as Dr Susan Lewis at the NBC medical drama called ER. For this role, she got three nominations for Emmy Awards. She was a member of original cast of ER but did not continue after third season even if the contract tied her for five seasons. She continued with the same role in the year 2001 and she quite again in the year 2005. She had a regular role at Guiding Light and at NYPD Blue. Even if she had been mainly on TV shows, she also appeared in films in her spare time.

From her biography, Sherry Stringfield is an eldest child in family of three children. She was born in Colorado Springs in Colorado. Her family relocated and went to live in Albuquerque of New Mexico, and afterwards, they settled in Spring of Texas in the Houston Suburb and this is where she grew up. She developed interest in acting when she was attending Klein High School and she was starring in many plays and musicals which include Fiddler on The Roof, Mother Courage and Oklahoma.

When she turned 18 years old, she attended Acting Conservatory found at Suny at Purchase where she was a roommate of Parker Posey who is her fellow actress. She was also appearing on many off-Broadway productions and she learned how to alter or control her Texan accent from the help of college speech teacher. Sherry Stringfield got a bachelor degree of Fine arts in 1989.

Her first role was playing in Guiding Light where she was Christina Blake Thorpe. In 1990s, Sherry Stringfield was in relationship with Paul Goldstein, a British businessman who is also the chairman of Nevica Skiwear for over 3 years. However, because of the pressure of being in a long distance romance, they decided to end the relationship.

Sherry Stringfield got married to Larry Joseph in the year 1998 and they have got two children together, a daughter called Phoebe and a son called Milo. However, she divorced her husband after being together for 7 years and she lives in Los Angeles now.

Sherry Stringfield had been nominated by Soap Opera Digest Award in the category of Outstanding Villain/Villainess because of the role she had in Guiding Light. For the People’s Choice Awards, she was named as the Favorite Female Performer.

During the year 1996, she got a Q Award to be Best Actress in a Quality drama Series. Together with other Cast-mates of ER, they won Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
