Biography and Early Life
Roman was born on 25th of May in the year 1985 in Pensacola, Florida, United States. His proud parents are Patricia A. Anoa’i and Sika Anoa’i. Roman is half Italian and half Samoan by birth. His brother Roseyand father were also professional wrestlers. He attended the college of Georgia Institute of Technology where he achieved a major in management.
Football career
Many of the people might not be aware of the fact that Roman is a former professional football player. He has played on the behalf of Canada.During his high school days, he started playing football. He played for 3 years at the high school of Pensacola Catholic and 1 year at High School of Escambia. After that, he attended Georgia Institute of technology where he became one of the members of yellow Jackets Football team of Georgia Tech.
He made his debut in professional football with his off-season brief stints with Minnesota Vikings. He has also played from the side of Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL) during 2007. Next year in 2008 he participated actively in a complete season of Canadian Football Leagueon the behalf of Edmonton Eskimos. After which he took retirement from the professional football.
Wrestling career
Roman made his debut in wrestling on 9th September in the year 2010 after signing a contract which was developmental with WWE. He initially used Roman Leakee as his ring name. He achieved his first success on 21st September after defeating Fahd Rakman.
After rebranding of FCW to the new NXT by WWE, Roman adopted a new ring name Roman Reigns and achieved his first debut victory on 31st October 2012 after winning against CJ Parker. His roster debut was during 2012 November along with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in the form of The Shield. Roman has added many titles under his name. He has become World Heavyweight Champion of WWE thrice.
He has won United States Championship title once and Tag Team Championship by WWE along with Rollins. He is also the Royal Rumble Champion of 2015 and Superstar of the year of 2014. Roman is the only wrestler that has won the award of PWI’s Most Hated Wrestler of the Year as a face.
Personal Life
Roman is now married to his longtime girlfriend Galina Becker. Complete name of his wife is Galina Joelle Becker. During her freshman and junior years, Galina was a wonderful athlete. Roman met his love of life while both of them attended Georgia Tech. The couple tied the knot in December 2014 at the Disney’s Castaway Cay.
As far as the question of children comes, they have a lovely daughter named Joelle Anoa’i who was born in 2008. He is having his residence located in Tampa, Florida, the United States.Roman is a catholic and his idol for wrestling is Bret Hart. Currently, his total net worth is around $5,500,000.
