Personal Life
Randy was born to Randy Pratt and Maxine Moss. He has 2 siblings named Eric and Lutisia. He went to DuPont High School in his hometown in West Virginia for his early education. He performed exceptionally well in football at his school. He served as the captain of the high school team and achieved the top award in football in the state West Virginia. He also played baseball and basketball at his school. He was very good at basketball and earned the title of West Virginia player of the year twice in a row in basketball in the years 1993 and 1994. He was also awarded the Kennedy Award in 1994 for being the West Virginia football player of the year. Moreover, he entered the track competition and became the state champion in the 200 and 100 meters. He was offered a scholarship at the University of Notre Dame.
According to his biography, even though he was a very good player on the field, he has gone through different problems personally. He was accused of using marijuana. He was involved in a minor accident when a traffic police officer was hit by his car. When he was awarded the scholarship at the University of Notre Dame, prior to joining the university, he was found guilty for being in a fight which urged racism so the scholarship was canceled.
Randy has 4 children with his girlfriend, Libby Offutt. He has two sons named Montigo and Thaddeus and two daughters Senali and Sidney. He has been in a relationship with his girlfriend for a long time, but there is no news on their marriage. There is a good chance that they never got married. He has not gone through a divorce either.
He got involved in legal charges when he was jailed for 30 days to taking part in a racially affiliated altercation in his high school. To add to the controversy, while he was on probation, he tested positive for marijuana, and was granted 60 extra days of jail time.
Career
Randy performed really well from the start and held his position among the top upcoming footballer. He joined Marshall University and kept on advancing in his career as a footballer. He achieved different awards for his performance in his school and college career including Fred Biletnikoff Award. He was also known as “The Freak” which was his nickname. He mostly played at the wide receiver position from the start. He was picked by the Minnesota Vikings during the first round of the NFL draft in 1998. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for a brief period of 7 years. He remained a part of different teams after that. He announced his retirement in 2011 and shortly after that came back to rock the field again. He played for 1 one year until 2012. He became part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year. He has also done charity work. He formed his team for Motorsports named Randy Moss Motorsports in 2008. His net worth is estimated to be around 40 million dollars.
