Rachel York is a singer and an actress. She became well known for the stage roles she had in Kate, Kiss Me, Victor/Victoria, Les Miserables, The Scarlet Pimpernel and City of Angels. She was also in Anything Goes, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Sly Fox. She had many television and film credits, which included the Lucille Ball’s portrayal for the biopic Lucy at CBS.

According to her bio, Rachel York made the professional debut when she appeared Kiss Me, Kate chorus. This is the same year that she got the scholarship to join the American Center for Music Theater based at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. She moved to live in Los Angeles and start to study acting there. She was with the acting Coach named Aaron Speiser and he encouraged her to go to live in New York City.

She was the younger woman in the Putting It Together of Stephen Sondheim where she was together with Julie Andrews. She got the Drama Desk Award nomination. She was Norma Cassidy in the Victor/Victoria, and for the role, she got a Drama Desk Award. She was Marguerite for The Scarlet Pimpernel.

She started her film credit in One Fine Day, Au Pair II, Terror Tract, Second Honeymoon and Dead Center. The performance she had in Kiss Me, Kate can be viewed on the Video and DVD. She did play as Lori, a Mystery Woman for the highly praised film known as It Had To Be You.

She appeared in many television movies that included Diagnosis: Murder, The Naked Truth, Arli$$, Frasier, Reba and Spin City. She guest starred in the Hannah Montana episodes such as Yet Another Side of Me. She appeared also in Power, TV Series where she was Tina Schulman in You’re Not the Man.

Her first album was called Let’s Fall In Love which was produced under Tor Hyams of Hylo Entertainment label. It was distributed under Barnes and Noble. She may also be heard in some of the film recordings.
