Helene Yorke, 33-year-old, was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 27th February 1985, and was named Helene Ann Dyke at birth. Her family immigrated from Canada to the United States of America in 1986. Her father was a software salesperson, due to which they moved around quite a lot. Yorke lived in Atlanta, Georgia, Minneapolis, Minnesota and then Los Angeles, California. Yorke holds Canadian as well as American passports.
She studied at Pacific Palisades Charter High School. After graduating from high school she went on to pursue Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan.
She is the daughter of Andrea Dyke, a businesswoman and Rhos Dyke, software salesperson and VP of Technologent, and sister of Lance Dyke and Sutherland Dyke.
At the early age of three years old, Yorke started taking ballet lessons and she was in middle school when she started taking acting classes.
Yorke's Career and Bio
Yorke started her career in 2007 with an Off-Broadway production ‘Walmartopia’. Her next performance was also an Off-Broadway production ‘What’s That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling’. She did three Broadway shows, ‘Grease’ (2008-09), ‘Bullets Over Broadway’ (2014) and ‘American Psycho’ (2016). Her other works of theatre are ‘High School Musical’ (2008) with United States Tour, ‘Wicked’ (2009-10) with Second National Tour, ‘Kiss Me, Kate’ (2016) with Benefit Concert Reading and ‘Grand Hotel’ (2018) with Encores! Revival.
The films in which she performed are ‘All Wifed Out’ (2012), ‘Are You Joking?’ (2014), ‘The Night Before’ (2015) and a short film ‘SuperMarket’ (2017).
Yorke has worked in TV series since 2010. The TV series include ‘Louie’ (2010), ‘A Gifted Man’ (2012), ‘30 Rock’ (2012), ‘I Just Want My Pants Back’ (2012), ‘Masters of Sex’ (2013-15), ‘Robot Chicken’ (2014), ‘BoJack Horsemen’ (2014), ‘American Dad!’ (2014), ‘Family Guy’ (2014-17), ‘Person of Interest’ (2015), ‘Quantico’ (2016), ‘High Maintenance’ (2016), ‘Graves’ (2016-17) and ‘The Good Fight’ (2017-18). Yorke also worked in ‘The Other Two’ which is slated to release in 2019.
Yorke's Money
When Yorke moved to New York City to pursue her lifelong passion, she had five boxes of things and three thousand dollars which she had borrowed from her father. She lived in an apartment with no furniture and two roommates. Things weren’t looking up for Yorke for a long period of time when she had to stretch twenty dollars as much as possible. Though Yorke cannot be called a style icon, she has a chic sense of style. She keeps her platinum blonde hair short and in a classic bob with blunt bangs. She is currently in a relationship with millionaire Chef Bobby Flay, since February 2016. She even has a second Instagram account @thehungriestgirlfried with the tagline ‘I’m dating a chef. I’m still hungry’.
